General Trial Division A

Kristi Gray - Division Chief, Sexual Assault Liaison, FAST/Traffic Liaison, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Gray received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1994, and joined the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in June of 2004. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Ohio State University in 1991, and her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1994. From 1994 until 2004, she served as a Staff Attorney and Directing Attorney for the Department of Public Advocacy in Pikeville and Paintsville. She is also admitted to the practice of law in Ohio . Ms. Gray served as a member of the Supreme Court of Kentucky Evidence Rules Review Commission from 2000-2004. She is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. Ms. Gray currently serves as the Sexual Assault Liaison and FAST/Traffic Liaison for the office. In addition, she is a member of the Louisville Human Trafficking Task Force and the Louisville Sexual Assault Reponse Team. Ms. Gray is the Division Chief of General Trial Division A.

Ryan Olberding - Elder Abuse Liaison, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Mr. Olberding graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 2003, after having received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University in 2000. He was admitted to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bar in 2003 and to the Kentucky Bar in 2009, when he began his service as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney. While in Law School, Mr. Olberding served as an intern in the District Attorney's Office in Portland, Maine. While at the University of Maine, he was Phi Beta Kappa, National Liberal Arts Honor Society; Omicron Delta Epsilon, National Economics Honor Society; and, Beta Gamma Sigma, National Business Honor Society. Upon joining the U.S. Army, he received advanced legal training at the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School Officer Basic Course. Mr. Olberding became a Captain in the U. S. Army JAG Corps, serving as Brigade Advocate and Chief of Military Justice at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and as Trial Counsel/Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, Claims Attorney/Assistant Hospital Legal Advisor while at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Mr. Olberding is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. He is the office Elder Abuse liaison and is currently assigned to General Trial Division A.

Erin Bravo - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Bravo received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2010, and she joined the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in January 2011. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree Magna Cum Laude in Justice Administration from the University of Louisville in 2005, and she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville School of Law in 2010. While in law school, she was an active member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) Competition Team for two years. In her final year of law school, she completed a Criminal Justice Externship in the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. She served as summer law clerk for Bubalo, Hiestand, and Rotman, PLC. Ms. Bravo also served as a law clerk in the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office from 2008-2010. She is a professional member of the Louisville Bar Association and Kentucky Bar Association. She also serves as assistant head of the offices Casual for a Cause fund that supports local charities. Ms. Bravo is assigned to General Trial Division A.

Jennifer Murzyn - Drug Court Liaison, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Murzyn received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2011 and she joined the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in May 2011. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree magna cum laude from St. Louis University in 2006 with double majors in Criminal Justice and Psychology, and she graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2010. While in law school, she was a semi-finalist in the Kentucky Intra-State Mock Trial Competition in 2010. In the past, Ms. Murzyn had a variety of internship experiences. As an undergraduate, she worked as an intern for the United States Probation and Parole Office for the Eastern District of Missouri. While in law school, she served as both an extern and summer law clerk grant recipient for the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and, served as an extern for Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Susan Schultz-Gibson. Ms. Murzyn is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. She is the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office Liaison to Jefferson County Drug Court and is assigned to General Trial Division A.

Cortney Hardin - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Hardin received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2012, and she joined the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in January 2013. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky in 2009, and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2012. While in law school, she served as an extern for the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and, for Jefferson Circuit Court Judge McKay Chauvin. Ms. Hardin also served as a student attorney for the University of Louisville Law clinic where she received the award of Top Advocate. Ms. Hardin is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association and is assigned to General Trial Division A.

Ryan Becker - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Mr. Becker received his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2012, and he joined the Commonwealth Attorney's Office in March 2013. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology from Princeton University in 2007. He graduated from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2012. Mr. Becker is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association. Mr. Becker is also admitted to the practice of law in Indiana and is assigned to General Trial Division A.

Molly Cassady - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Cassady received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2012 and joined the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in May of 2013. She received her B.A. in History from the University of Kentucky in 2008, her J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2012, and her LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from American University, Washington College of Law in 2013. While in law school, she served as an extern for Justice Will T. Scott of the Kentucky Supreme Court and practiced law with a limited license while serving as an extern for the Department of Public Advocacy in Cynthiana, Kentucky and the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office in Cincinnati, Ohio. While obtaining her LL.M., she served as an extern for the Public Defender's Office in Alexandria, Virginia and the Office of the Attorney General in Washington, D.C.. She is a professional member of the American Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association. Ms. Cassady is currently assigned to General Trial Division A.

Steve Blandford - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Mr. Blandford received his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2012. While in law school, he worked as an extern for this office. Additionally, while in law school, he clerked at Naber, Joyner & Jaffe doing general civil litigation. Mr. Blandford received a B.A. cum laude in Finance from the University of Kentucky in 2009. He also received his J.D. from Northern Kentucky University in 2012. He is currently assigned to General Trial Division A.
