ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. James D. McAtee – 07CR4189.  (Murder)  Mr. McAtee (DOB 12/17/49) is charged in connection with the December 11, 2007 stabbing death of John McAtee at an apartment in the 1900 block of Magazine Street.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 5, Division 9, at 9:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Eric Bennett (DOB 3/3/78)/ Antonio Garrison (DOB 9/27/82)/ Jamar Garrison (DOB 12/26/84) / Andre Harris (DOB 6/22/82) / Dominic Harrison (DOB 5/30/83) / Joseph Harrison (DOB 5/23/77) / Donteze Stephenson (DOB 1/23/83) / Rodney Stephenson (DOB 3/10/82) / Timothy Williams (DOB 8/4/82)– 07CR4192.  The defendants are charged with multiple counts involving activities in and around Victory Park.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, January 7, Division 13, at 3:30 P.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Martin Phillip Jackson – 07CR1666 & 07CR2321.  (Kidnapping, Burglary, Assault 2nd Degree, Attempted Rape 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, Operating a Taxi Without a Valid License, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Jackson (DOB 5/17/66) is charged in connection with the May 5, 2007 abduction and beating of a female victim.  A Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 2, Division 1, at 1:30 P.M.  Jennifer Wilcox and Ryane Conroy are the prosecutors.

 

  1. Johnny Lee Allen (DOB 11/9/87) / James A. Clark (DOB 4/29/89) – 07CR1219.  (Murder [2 Counts], Robbery 1st Degree [2 Counts], Theft by Unlawful Taking >$300, Tampering with Physical Evidence [2 Counts])  The defendants are charged in connection with the February 2, 2007 deaths of Anthony Howze and Ashley Yennes whose bodies were found in a car in an alley off of Beecher Street.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, Division 2, at 10:00 A.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Marcus Deshon Fresh – 07CR0577.  (Murder, Retaliating Against a Participant in the Legal Process)  Mr. Fresh (DOB 9/6/84) is charged in connection with the February 1, 2007 shooting death of Edrisha Reed on Tuscarora Way in the Iroquois Homes housing complex.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, Division 4, at 9:30 A.M.  Christie Foster is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Carlos A. Lagantta – 07CR2855.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Lagantta (DOB 10/24/78) is charged in connection with the August 30, 2007 death of Tina Tatro whose body was found in an apartment at 116 E. Burnett Ave.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, January 2, Division 7, at 8:45 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Mary Ellen Tyndall – 07CR3534.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Ms. Tyndall (DOB 8/26/54) is charged in connection with the October 19, 2007 bludgeoning death of her husband, Nara Tyndall, at their home in the 1300 block of Dixie Highway.  A Pre-Trial Conferenceis scheduled for Wednesday, January 2, Division 1, at 9:30 A.M.  Kristen Poindexter is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Andrew Cochran (DOB 9/27/80) / Damon Talbert (DOB 8/29/83) – 07CR2782.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the August 19, 2007 shooting death of Jamar Payne in an apartment in the De Soto Terrace housing complex.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, January 3, Division 10, at 10:45 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.
