Weekly Media Release  December 3 - 9, 2007

HEARING

1. Eddie Bewley – 07CR1888.  (Murder, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Bewley (DOB 10/5/70) is charged in connection with the May 24, 2007 stabbing death of Brandon Mays at an apartment complex off of Champions Trace and Hikes Lane in West Buechel.  A Bond Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, December 6, Division 5, at 2:45 P.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

1.      Chad Neal Rippy – 07CR3110.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants, No Motorcycle Operators License)  Mr. Rippy (DOB 6/11/71) is charged in connection with the August 3, 2007 motorcycle crash on Cane Run Road which resulted in the death of Carrie Ann Orr.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, December 3, Division 6, at 9:00 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

2.      Charlotte Rose Weathers – 07CR3275.  (Manslaughter 2nd Degree)  Ms. Weathers (DOB 3/30/51) is charged in connection with a May 17, 2007 fight at a bar in the 2500 block of Bank Street which resulted in the death of David Wayne Woodson.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, December 3, Division 3, at 9:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

3.      Andreas Coleman (DOB 6/29/83) / Antonio D. Hawkins (DOB 2/22/85) – 07CR0106.  (Murder)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 18, 2006 shooting death of Antonio Thompson at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Trafalgar Square.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, December 4, Division 8, at 9:00 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

4.      Rocky McEntire – 07CR2733.  (Rape 1st Degree, Kidnapping)  Mr. McEntire (DOB 5/29/82) is charged in connection with the rape of an adult female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, Division 1, at 1:30 P.M.  Ruth Lerner is the prosecutor.

5.      Shaheed A. Aluqdah – 06CR2610.  (Murder, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Aluqdah (DOB 7/10/80) is charged in connection with the June 3, 2006 shooting death of Terrell Cherry in the 2200 block of Humler Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, December 6, Division 3, at 9:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

6.      Arthur S. Hynes – 07CR3117.  (Rape 1st Degree)  Mr. Hynes (DOB 10/26/51) is charged in connection with the July 2007 rape of an adult female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, December 6, Division 3, at 11:00 A.M.  Michelle Grant Rudovich is the prosecutor.

7.      Beverly Ann Bryant (DOB 9/3/61) / Steven Wayne Bryant (DOB 11/10/60) – 07CR3651.  (BOTH: Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence; S. BRYANT: Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the November 3, 2007 stabbing death of Latour White near Dixie Highway and Lower Hunters Trace.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, December 7, Division 11, at 10:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

SENTENCING

1.      Thomas Sewastynowicz – 06CR1937.  Mr. Sewastynowicz (DOB 1/16/57) was found guilty of Reckless Homicide in connection with the March 31, 2006 dragging death of Anthony Graham whose body was found at 13th and Rowan streets.  Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday, December 6, Division 13, at 9:00 A.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.
