ARRAIGNMENTS

1. Ebonie Yvette Phillips (DOB 12/23/81) / Robert G. Thomas, Jr. (DOB 8/1/82) – 07CR3370.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 2, 2007 shooting death of Charles Mitchell, III in the parking lot of the St. Andrews Park apartment complex in the 6900 block of Brooklawn Drive.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, October 22, Division 2, at 9:00 A.M.  Michelle Grant Rudovich is the prosecutor.

HEARING

1. Leslie N. Emerson - 02CR1367.  Mr. Emerson (DOB 4/8/81) was found guilty of Murder and Tampering with Physical Evidence in connection with the June 1, 2002 shooting death of Jerry Monroe at 4300 Fegenbush Lane.  In January 2005, he was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for 25 years.  Upon appeal, the Kentucky Supreme Court affirmed the guilty verdict but remanded the case back to Circuit Court for a new penalty phase.  A Hearing is scheduled for Monday, October 22, Division 7, at 9:00 A.M.  Carol Cobb and Christie Foster are the prosecutors.

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

1.      Blaine D. Williams – 07CR0335.  (Manslaughter 2nd Degree)  Mr. Williams (DOB 9/9/90) is charged in connection with the November 19, 2006 shooting death of Brad Corcoran in the 2600 block of West Jefferson Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, October 24, Division 10, at 2:30 P.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

2.      Triva Hogan – 07CR2784.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Ms. Hogan (DOB 7/31/71) is charged in connection with the August 18, 2007 stabbing death of Willie James Sweet in the 600 block of South 34th Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, Division 6, at 9:30 A.M.  Frank Dahl is the prosecutor.

3.      Jeffrey W. Flanigan – 07CR1916.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon)  Mr. Flanigan (DOB 10/21/83) is charged in connection with the May 22, 2007 shooting death of Curtis Lee Brown III at 35th Street, just south of Broadway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, October 26, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  Mark Baker is the prosecutor.

4.      Dale Edward Moneypenny (DOB 3/23/80) / Jennifer Lynn Smith (DOB 6/17/82) – 06CR1025.  (BOTH: Murder [2 counts], Arson 1st Degree [2 Counts], Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence; MONEYPENNY: Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the March 24, 2006 stabbing death of Charles Edward Poynter in the 100 block of Harlan Avenue and Blaine Thacker, Jr. in the 400 block of West Ormsby Avenue.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, October 26, Division 5, at 10:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

TRIAL

1.      Mohammad Muse – 06CR2424.  (Sexual Abuse 1st Degree [3 Counts], Knowing Abuse of an Adult by a Caretaker [3 Counts])  Mr. Muse (DOB 10/3/81), while an employee of Jewish Hospital, is charged in connection with the sexual abuse of three patients.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Monday, October 22, Division 2, at 1:00 P.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.

2.      Justin Brandon Lewis – 06CR3546.  (Murder)  Mr. Lewis (DOB 7/7/85) is charged in connection with the October 23, 2006 shooting death of Brittney Dunn in the 400 block of Marret Avenue.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 23, Division 10, at 10:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.
