ARRAIGNMENT

 

  1. Andrew J. Marra – 09CR2211.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Marra (DOB 9/14/86) is charged in connection with the July 22, 2009 stabbing death of Joshua Pendleton at JJ’s Smoke Shop in the 10600 block of Dixie Highway.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, Division 4, at 9:00 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Preston D. Troupe, III – 09CR2219.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree)  Mr. Troupe (DOB 10/6/82) is charged in connection with the July 2, 2009 shooting death of Steven Meeks at an apartment in the 4700 block of Taylor Blvd.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, August 3, Division 2, at 9:00 A.M.  Nick Neumann is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Jerome T. Savage – 09CR2215.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  Mr. Savage (DOB 1/9/85) is charged in connection with the January 11, 2009 crash on Outer Loop which resulted in the death of Hector Portela Costa, Jr.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, August 3, Division 5, at 10:30 A.M.  Frank Dahl is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Mitchell K. Westlin – 09CR2191.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree)  Mr. Westlin (DOB 11/4/77) is charged in connection with the December 4, 2008 crash on I-265 which resulted in the death of Max McLeod.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, August 3, Division 8, at 1:00 P.M.  Chris Hutchison is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Dewayne D. Smith – 09CR2206.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants)  Mr. Smith (DOB 6/4/88) is charged in connection with the July 24, 2009 crash in the 4800 block of Cane Run Road that resulted in the death of William Keeth.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, August 3, Division 11, at 2:30 P.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Michael P. Higginbotham – 03CR1702.  On June 15, 2004, Mr. Higginbotham (DOB10/31/83) was sentenced 5 years suspended, 5 years supervised probation for 16 counts of Impersonating a Peace Officer related to incidents where he placed harassing phone calls to individuals and falsely told them that tragic happenings had occurred to loved ones.  A Hearing is scheduled for Motion Hour on Monday, August 3, Division 4, at 10:00 A.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Justin M. Dennis – 08CR2073.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Theft by Unlawful Taking >$300)  Mr. Dennis (DOB 3/3/87) is charged in connection with the July 8, 2008 shooting death of his father, Mitchell Dennis, at a home in the 8500 block of Old Heady Road.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, Division 2, at 9:00 A.M.  Christie Foster is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Robert H. Thomas – 06CR3645.  On May 23, 2007, Mr. Thomas (DOB 12/15/49) pleaded guilty to Assault 2nd Degree and Intimidating a Witness and was sentenced to 5 years suspended, 5 years supervised probation.  Mr. Thomas is currently under indictment for Murder in case 09CR1539.  A Revocation Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, Division 4, at 9:45 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Cecil Eugene New II – 07CR3969.  (Murder, Kidnapping, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 3rd Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. New (DOB 12/25/60) is charged in connection with the death of Cesar Ivan Aguilar Cano whose body was found July 7, 2007 near Fourth Street and Central Avenue  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, August 3, Division 9, at 11:00 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Wilbur H. Mucker, III (DOB 6/28/84) / Keath D. Tyson (DOB 4/13/81) – 09CR1283.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the April 25, 2009 shooting death of Gerald Garner in the 700 block of South 23rd Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, August 3, Division 2, at 2:00 P.M.  Nick Neumann is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Said Ali Biyad – 06CR3272.  (Murder [4 Counts], Criminal Attempted Murder, Rape 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence [3 Counts])  Mr. Biyad (DOB 1/1/64) is charged in connection with the October 6, 2006 stabbing deaths of his 4 children – Goshany, Khadija, Fatuma and Sidi Ali, ages 2 to 8 – at an apartment in Iroquois Homes.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, Division 2, at 8:45 A.M.  Christie Foster is the prosecutor.

 

4.      William G. Seidl – 08CR2593.  (Murder)  Mr. Seidl (DOB 1/9/40) is charged in connection with the August 30, 2008 shooting death of Dorene Seidl in the 8200 block of Grandfield Way in the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, Division 10, at 9:30 A.M.  Christie Foster is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Nereida Allen (DOB 4/4/86) / Joshua Peacher (DOB 1/10/85) – 08CR2598.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Abuse 1st Degree [2 Counts], Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia)  The defendants are charged in connection with the August 28, 2008 death of 2 year old Christopher James Allen.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5, Division 9, at 9:30 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Fred Lee Davis, III – 09CR1574.  (Murder, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Davis (DOB 3/29/70) is charged in connection with the May 27, 2009 shooting death of Usef Milliner in the 900 block of South 32nd Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, Division 1, at 9:00 A.M.  Frank Dahl is the prosecutor.

 

7.      Matthew E. Vaughn – 09CR1763.  (Murder)  Mr. Vaughn (DOB8/16/88) is charged in connection with the June 7, 2009 beating which resulted in the death of 9 month old Karlie Mellick.  The incident took place at a residence in the 400 block of Inglewood Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, Division 6, at 9:00 A.M.  Christie Foster is the prosecutor.

 

8.      Roosevelt Gill, Jr. (DOB 5/22/88) / Gerome Sutton, II (DOB 2/3/82) – 09CR1420.  (Unlawful Access to a Computer, Abuse of Public Trust, Bribery of a Public Servant)  The defendants, former Jefferson Circuit Court employees, are charged in connection with the illegal taking of money from the court system.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, Division 4, at 9:00 A.M.  Chris Hutchison is the prosecutor.

 

9.      Kenyon M. Pollock – 07CR3666.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Pollock (DOB 5/8/72) is charged in connection with the November 2, 2007 shooting death of Depietro Bell, who was found near the intersection of Ellison and Julia avenues.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, Division 9, at 10:15 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

 

SENTENCING

 

1.      Antonio L. Bradley – 04CR3162.  Mr. Bradley (DOB 5/24/83) pleaded guilty to Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Arson [2 Counts] in connection with the November 3, 2004 shooting death of Jonathan Watson on West Jefferson Street.  Sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, Division 7, at 8:30 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.
