ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Charles M. Ragland (DOB 1/27/87) / Eric M. Ward (DOB 8/14/87) – 07CR2455.  (Murder, Burglary 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [9 Counts])  The defendants are charged in connection with the June 6, 2007 shooting death of Rocky Brown at a home in the 4000 block of Caspian Drive.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 30, Division 8, at 9:30 A.M.  Erin White is the prosecutor.

HEARING

 

  1. Cecil E. Geron – 06CR1764.  (Murder)  Mr. Geron (DOB 10/28/76) is charged in connection with the May 24, 2006 beating death of Kristopher McGary in the alley in the 900 block of Beecher Street.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 30, Division 10, at 8:45 A.M.  Felicia Nu’Man is the prosecutor.
  1. Shaheed A. Aluqdah – 06CR2610.  (Murder, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Aluqdah (DOB 7/10/80) is charged in connection with the June 3, 2006 shooting death of Terrell Cherry in the 2200 block of Humler Street.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Friday, July 3, Division 3, at 2:00 P.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Malcolm L. Parsons – 07CR1364.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants)  Mr. Parsons (DOB 10/28/82) is charged in connection with the April 4, 2007 wreck on Eastern Parkway which resulted in the death of Matthew Johnson.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, July 30, Division 12, at 9:00 A.M.  Chris Hutchison is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Richard Johnson – 07CR1500.  (Rape 2nd Degree, Sodomy 2nd Degree)  Mr. Johnson (DOB 1/26/68), a Metro Corrections Sergeant, is charged in connection with the abuse of two juvenile female victims.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, July 30, Division 6, at 9:30 A.M.  Cheryl Robinson is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Martin Phillip Jackson – 07CR1666.  (Kidnapping, Assault 2nd Degree, Attempted Rape 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, Operating a Taxi Without a Valid License, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Jackson (DOB 5/17/66) is charged in connection with the May 5, 2007 abduction and beating of a female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, July 30, Division 1, at 10:30 A.M.  Jennifer Wilcox and Ryane Conroy are the prosecutors.

 

4.      Cornell Bell (DOB 12/7/89) / George Cunningham (DOB 11/6/89) / Brandon Gibson (DOB 12/21/88) / David Hayes (DOB 1/17/91) / Avery Madry (DOB 7/3/88) / Jesse Orndorff (DOB 10/3/87) / Keon Simms (DOB 6/14/88) / Kevin Smyzer (DOB 10/17/89)  –  07CR0787.  The defendants are charged with a total of 39 Counts of Robbery 1st Degree and other charges including Assault, Criminal Syndication and Theft of a Firearm in connection with numerous robberies throughout the community between June 2006 and February 2007.  These robberies included one on January 17, 2007 at the BP at 3401 Breckenridge Lane and one on January 29, 2007 at the BP at 10500 Dixie Highway during which the clerks of the stores were shot and injured.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, Division 4, at 8:30 A.M.  Scott Davis and Todd Lewis are the prosecutors.

 

5.      Andreas Coleman (DOB 6/29/83) / Antonio D. Hawkins (DOB 2/22/85) – 07CR0106.  (Murder)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 18, 2006 shooting death of Antonio Thompson at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Trafalgar Square.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, August 1, Division 8, at 8:45 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Roberto L. Perez – 07CR0376.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Perez (DOB 8/22/68) is charged in connection with the March 24, 2004 beating death of Wigberto Perez in the Crescent Hill neighborhood.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 2, Division 4, at 8:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

7.      Terribo Kohn – 06CR0742.  (Murder)  Mr. Kohn (DOB 12/3/58) is charged in connection with the February 27, 2006 beating death of Horace Transon at a boarding house in the 3700 block of West Broadway Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 2, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

8.      Johnathan R. Young – 07CR1580.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Young (DOB 6/3/82) is charged in connection with the February 15, 2007 shooting death of Christopher Hensel in the 1400 block of Hemlock Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 2, Division 4, at 9:30 A.M.  Mark Baker is the prosecutor.

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Michael A. Woods – 06CR0252.  (Criminal Attempted Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree)  Mr. Woods (DOB 3/31/67) is charged in connection with the January 6, 2006 incident in the 1500 block of Hale Avenue where a Louisville Metro Police officer was cut on the shoulder and face.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, July 31, Division 11, at 10:00 A.M.  John Balliet is the prosecutor.
