ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Gail Lynn Coontz – 08CR1574.  (Murder [2 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence, Terroristic Threatening, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  Ms. Coontz (DOB 7/8/70) is charged in connection with the March 27, 2008 shooting death of her two children, Greg and Nikki, whose bodies were found in her home on Settle Boulevard in Okolona.  She is also charged in connection with an incident at the University of Louisville health services counseling center.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Apollo R. Avery (DOB 4/9/86) / Demetrous L. Brown (DOB 7/23/88) - 08CR1586.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Assault 4th Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [8 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the May 10, 2008 shooting death of Timothy Barbour which occurred on a TARC bus at 10th Street and Broadway.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, Division 3, at 8:30 A.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Carlos Lamont Ordway – 07CR3193.  (Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree [2 Counts], Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Ordway (DOB 6/21/81) is charged in connection with the August 6, 2007 robbery of the Chase Bank in the 4000 block of Poplar Level Road.  Two bank employees were wounded during the robbery.  A Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, Division 2, at 8:30 A.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Dante Pardue (DOB 10/21/91) / Troy Cole (DOB 2/8/88) / Amy Merrick (DOB 6/18/84) / Sharon Robinson (DOB 10/25/86) – 07CR2771.  (PARDUE: Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree; COLE: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; MERRICK & ROBINSON: Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia)  The defendants are charged in connection with a July 1, 2007 robbery in the 4500 block of Beechbrook Road in Newburg which resulted in the shooting death of Jordan Adams.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Friday, May 30, Division 1, at 10:30 A.M.  Khalid Kahloon is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Jeffrey W. Flanigan – 07CR1916.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon)  Mr. Flanigan (DOB 10/21/83) is charged in connection with the May 22, 2007 shooting death of Curtis Lee Brown III at 35th Street, just south of Broadway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  Mark Baker is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Gene Raymond Miller (DOB 1/7/67) / Bennett Shaw Bilbrey (DOB 6/14/64) – 06CR3739.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the November 14, 2006 beating death of Dr. Emery Lane at his home in the 400 block of University Ave.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, May 30, Division 6, at 9:00 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Princess Carver – 05CR1922.  (Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Abuse 1st Degree [4 Counts])  Ms. Carver (DOB 7/15/82) is charged in connection with injuries sustained to her 7 month old son.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, Division 3, at 9:00 A.M.  Carol Cobb is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Claudette McCracken – 07CR1455.  (Perjury 1st Degree, Tampering with Public Records, Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Official Misconduct 1st Degree)  Ms. McCracken (DOB 5/2/59), a former Louisville Metro Police Officer, is charged in connection with an incident occurring in May 2006 involving the arrest of a women that worked at a laundry in the 5700 block of Preston Highway.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, Division 9, at 9:30 A.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.
