ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Mark A. Berry, Jr. – 08CR1559.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Robbery 1st Degree)  Mr. Berry (DOB 9/8/90) is charged in connection with the January 9, 2008 shooting death of Sean Wilson who was found in a car in a parking lot in the 900 block of Place Bleu.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 3, at 9:30 A.M.  Cheryl Robinson is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Davon S. Tooley – 06CR0598 & 07CR0521.  (Murder, Attempted Murder, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [5 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence [2 Counts])  Mr. Tooley (DOB 4/22/86) is charged in connection with the January 4, 2006 shooting death of Jerrell Vitt outside an apartment complex on Permerland Drive.  A Hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 2, at 9:00 A.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

 

  1. David Carl Ola – 07CR0105.  (Murder)  Mr. Ola (DOB 3/1/66) is charged in connection with the December 30, 2006 shooting death of Russell Ola at a house on Granger Road in the Fairdale community.  A Competency Hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 5, at 1:30 P.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Charles W. Smith – 07CR1504.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Smith (DOB 8/9/46) is charged in connection with the April 21, 2007 shooting death of Keith Lamont Smith at the Beecher Terrace housing complex in the 400 block of South 12th Street.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 11, at 3:30 P.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Francois L. Cunningham – 05CR3713.  (Murder [2 Counts], Arson 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Cunningham (DOB 8/6/77) is charged in connection with the October 12, 2005 shooting deaths of Trevor Alexander and Tykea Sanderson in Fern Creek Park.  A Bond Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Brian Daviston – 07CR1690 & 08CR1456.  (Murder [2 Counts], Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [6 Counts], Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Daviston (DOB 4/15/79) is charged in connection with the May 6, 2007 crash on Interstate 64 near the 9th Street exit which resulted in the death of Gary and Terry Crenshaw and injured another female passenger in the Crenshaws’ car.  A Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, Division 4, at 9:00 A.M.  Chris Hutchison is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Kenneth S. Kurz – 06CR3526.  (Murder, Knowing Abuse or Neglect of an Adult by a Caretaker)  Mr. Kurz (DOB 7/31/56) is charged in connection with the death of his mother, Susanna Kurz, at their home in the St. Matthews area.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, Division 5, at 10:00 A.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Emily A. Hall – 07CR3962.  (Murder, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants)  Ms. Hall (DOB 6/9/87) is charged in connection with the November 29, 2007 wreck on the Watterson Expressway which resulted in the death of Abram Reimer.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 1, at 9:30 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Kenneth L. Roberson – 07CR2092.  (Murder, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Roberson (DOB 6/26/61) is charged in connection with the June 8, 2007 death of Keith Mario Reed, Jr. at 24th and Madison streets.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 7, at 10:00 A.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Charlotte Rose Weathers – 07CR3275.  (Manslaughter 2nd Degree)  Ms. Weathers (DOB 3/30/51) is charged in connection with a May 17, 2007 fight at a bar in the 2500 block of Bank Street which resulted in the death of David Wayne Woodson.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 3, at 11:15 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Juan Kessea Berry – 07CR0558 & 08CR1047.  (Sodomy 1st Degree, Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Berry (DOB 11/10/71) is charged in connection with the January 30, 2007 abuse of a 14 year old male Meyzeek Middle School student as the victim exited a bus at the intersection of Preston and Broadway streets.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, May 19, Division 7, at 2:30 P.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Todd M. Brown (DOB 5/13/92) / Leslye M. Harbin (DOB 2/8/92) / Howard M. Williams, Jr. (DOB 12/27/90) - 08CR1045.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the February 15, 2008 shotting death of Branden Trumbo in a parking lot at 22nd Street and Broadway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.
