ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Denise A. Lamont – 07CR1268.  (Theft by Deception >$300 [42 Counts], Theft by Deception <$300 [25 Counts], Forgery 2nd Degree [40 Counts])  Ms. Lamont (DOB 5/29/61) is charged in connection with the taking of funds from Lincoln Elementary School.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23, Division 7, at 9:00 A.M.  John Balliet is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Cory M. Gibson – 07CR1287.  (Murder, Sodomy 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Gibson (DOB 2/25/86) is charged in connection with the April 5, 2007 strangulation death of ZoAnn McCampbell, whose body was found in a parking lot in the area of Manslick Road and Crums Lane.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, July 12, Division 4, at 9:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Irvin Kareem Arnold – 07CR1306.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree [2 Counts], Theft by Unlawful Taking, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police)  Mr. Arnold (DOB 3/31/88) is charged in connection with the March 27, 2007 shooting death of Rashad McGinnis near Dixie Highway and Ormsby Avenue.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, April 16, Division 3, at 9:00 A.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Kenneth S. Kurz – 06CR3526.  (Murder, Knowing Abuse or Neglect of an Adult by a Caretaker)  Mr. Kurz (DOB 7/31/56) is charged in connection with the death of his mother, Susanna Kurz, at their home in the St. Matthews area.  A Competency Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, Division 5, at 2:00 P.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Cecil E. Geron – 06CR1764.  (Murder)  Mr. Geron (DOB 10/28/76) is charged in connection with the May 24, 2006 beating death of Kristopher McGary in the alley in the 900 block of Beecher Street.  A Bond Hearing is scheduled for Friday, April 20, Division 10, at 8:30 A.M.  Rick Taylor is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Leroy Lester Calloway (DOB 3/18/67) / Bruce D. Hanserd (DOB 12/29/79) / Rodney L. Anderson (DOB 9/15/77) – 06CR3381.  (CALLOWAY & HANSERD: Murder, Fleeing or Evading Police, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree; HANSERD: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance; ANDERSON: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 29, 2005 shooting death of William D. Pouk in the 100 block of Kingston Drive.  A Hearing is scheduled for Friday, April 20, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Donteze E. Stephenson - 06CR3598.  (Murder, Wanton Endangerment [3 Counts])  Mr. Stephenson (DOB 1/23/83) is charged in connection with the October 25, 2006 shooting death of Darryl Head, who was shot while inside a car in the Victory Park neighborhood.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Friday, April 20, Division 13, at 10:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Carla Marie Sowers (DOB 5/12/86) / Shawndric Jardon Williams (DOB 8/11/86) / Johnetta Carr (DOB 5/25/88) – 05CR3844 & 06CR1389.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 23, 2005 strangling death of Planes Adolphe outside his home in the Americana Apartments.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 16, Division 11, at 3:30 P.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Marcus Edward McStoots – 05CR2759.  (Rape 1st Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. McStoots (DOB 5/13/80) is charged in connection with the rape of two female victims near the Ohio Riverwalk.  One incident occurred in October 2000 and the other occurred in April 2003.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, April 18, Division 12, at 9:00 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Princess Carver – 05CR1922.  (Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Abuse 1st Degree [4 Counts])  Ms. Carver (DOB 7/15/82) is charged in connection with injuries sustained to her 7 month old son.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, Division 3, at 8:30 A.M.  Carol Cobb is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Dominic D. Simonton – 07CR0952 & 06CR3111.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Simonton (DOB 7/4/77) is charged in connection with the October 6, 2006 death of Derrick Watkins which resulted from a September 18, 2006 shooting near Preston and Oak and St. Catherine.  Another victim was wounded in this same incident.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, Division 5, at 1:00 P.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

 

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Clifford Warfield - 02CR1558 .  Mr. Warfield (DOB 1/26/82) is charged with multiple counts involving activities in and around Victory Park, highlighted by the April 23, 2001 murder of JaJuan Stephenson and the March 3, 2002 murder of William Barnes.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 16, Division 7, at 9:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne and Ryane Conroy are the prosecutors.

 

 

SENTENCING

 

1.      Derek Rene Edmonds (DOB 11/28/63) / Tyreese D. Hall (DOB 3/7/85) – 04CR2445 & 04CR1179.  The defendants were found guilty of Murder, Robbery 1st Degree and Sodomy 1st Degree in connection with the April 6, 2004 attack and beating death of Clifton Agnew in the alley behind the Brook Street Salvation Army.  Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, April 20, Division 9, at 9:00 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.
