ARRAIGNMENT

 

  1. Christopher L. Gordon – 09CR1028.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Gordon (DOB 9/10/89) is charged in connection with the March 24, 2009 shooting death of Norman Beals, Jr. at 23rd and Kentucky streets.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, April 13, Division 9, at 1:30 P.M.  Chris Hutchison is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Amy Arden (DOB 3/1/87) / Thomas Wayne Mercurio (DOB 9/9/83) – 08CR3810.  (Murder, Arson 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, Receiving Stolen Property >$300, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 19, 2008 death of Larry Seigle whose body was found near a fire in a home in the 700 block of M Street.  A Hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 13, Division 8, at 8:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. James Ray Cable – 04CR1003.  (Murder [2 Counts], Rape 1st Degree [2 Counts])  Mr. Cable (DOB 6/27/48) is charged in connection with the 1986 death of Oma Marie Bird and the 1989 death of Helen V. Booth.  A Competency Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, Division 10, at 9:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Nereida Allen (DOB 4/4/86) / Joshua Peacher (DOB 1/10/85) – 08CR2598.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Abuse 1st Degree [2 Counts], Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia)  The defendants are charged in connection with the August 28, 2008 death of 2 year old Christopher James Allen.  A Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, Division 9, at 11:00 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

1.      David Wayne Brown – 08CR3548.  (Murder, Fetal Homicide 1st Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Brown (DOB 1/29/80) is charged in connection with the November 23, 2008 death of Natasha Sutton at an apartment in the 4300 block of Shady Villa Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 13, Division 3, at 9:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

2.      James Simpson – 08CR1785.  (Murder)  Mr. Simpson (DOB 10/1/68) is charged in connection with the September 10, 2007 shooting death of his wife, Katherine Simpson, at their home in Middletown.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 13, Division 7, at 9:00 A.M.  Nick Neumann is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Jimmie Wayne Craig, Jr. (DOB 11/2/77) / Derrick Djan Moore (DOB 8/10/71) – 08CR2830.  (BOTH: Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence; MOORE: Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the January 1, 2001 shooting death of Clifton Fant in the alley of the 600 block of South 44th Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 13, Division 10, at 9:15 A.M.  Erin White is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Don S. Fielder – 09CR0574.  (Murder, Rape 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Fielder (DOB 8/16/83) is charged in connection with the February 12, 2009 death of Antigone Graham Smith at her apartment on Zachary Circle in the Park Place Apartments.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 13, Division 12, at 9:15 A.M.  Erin White is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Mark A. Berry, Jr. – 08CR1559.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Robbery 1st Degree)  Mr. Berry (DOB 9/8/90) is charged in connection with the January 9, 2008 shooting death of Sean Wilson who was found in a car in a parking lot in the 900 block of Place Bleu.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 13, Division 3, at 11:30 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Justin M. Dennis – 08CR2073.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Theft by Unlawful Taking >$300)  Mr. Dennis (DOB 3/3/87) is charged in connection with the July 8, 2008 shooting death of his father, Mitchell Dennis, at a home in the 8500 block of Old Heady Road.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, Division 2, at 9:30 A.M.  Christie Foster is the prosecutor.

 

7.      Daniel Rodriguez – 07CR2867.  (Murder, Criminal Attempted Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Rodriguez (DOB 1/19/84) is charged in connection with the August 19, 2007 shooting death of Loranzo Hyatt who was found in the emergency lane of Interstate 264 between Cane Run Road and Dixie Highway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, Division 8, at 8:45 A.M.  Michelle Grant Rudovich is the prosecutor.

 

8.      Jeffrey M. Bynum – 09CR0828.  (Murder, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Bynum (DOB 9/30/81) is charged in connection with the March 10, 2009 shooting death of James DeSpain in the 300 block of North 18th Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Ruth Lerner is the prosecutor.

 

9.      Frederick W. Davis – 09CR0399.  (Murder, Wanton Endangerment [2 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Davis (DOB 10/1/90) is charged in connection with the February 4, 2009 shooting death of James F. Allen near the Beecher Terrace housing complex.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, Division 9, at 11:45 A.M.  Erin White is the prosecutor.

 

10.  Alexander L. Ruff – 08CR3686.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree [3 Counts])  Mr. Ruff (DOB 3/30/85) is charged in connection with the November 24, 2008 shooting death of Mohamed Abdelrahman at the New York Fashions clothing store at 2049 Lytle Street in the Portland neighborhood.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 17, Division 3, at 8:45 A.M.  Mark Baker is the prosecutor.

 

11.  Todd M. Brown (DOB 5/13/92) / Leslye M. Harbin (DOB 2/8/92) / Howard M. Williams, Jr. (DOB 12/27/90) - 08CR1045.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the February 15, 2008 shotting death of Branden Trumbo in a parking lot at 22nd Street and Broadway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 17, Division 5, at 1:30 P.M.  Michelle Rudovich is the prosecutor.

 

12.  Charles Bonner (DOB 1/31/85) / Anthony Hill (DOB 6/4/86) / Damien Holbrook (DOB 12/21/81) – 08CR1880.  (Murder)  The defendants are charged in connection with the August 31, 2007 shooting death of Robert Robinson in the parking lot of the White Castle at Seventh Street and Broadway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 17, Division 4, at 2:00 P.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

 

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Aaron Stout – 08CR0290.  (Murder, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree)  Mr. Stout (DOB 10/23/81) is charged in connection with an August 5, 2006 wreck which resulted in the death of Michael Anthony Strum on New LaGrange Road.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, Division 10, at 10:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.
