ARRAIGNMENTS 

  1. Frankie Lee Roberson – 09CR0959.  (Murder)  Mr. Roberson (DOB 10/13/67) is charged in connection with the March 17, 2009 beating death of McOwen Drane.  Mr. Drane died from his injuries at University Hospital.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, April 6, Division 6, at 11:00 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.
  1. Trey Devone Skaggs – 09CR0957.  (Murder, Attempted Murder, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, Resisting Arrest)  Mr. Skaggs (DOB 3/4/91) is charged in connection with the March 22, 2009 shooting death of Jose Morales Zarabia at a Speedway gas station in the 7400 block of Third Street Road.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, Division 11, at 9:00 A.M.  Lisa Cartier Giroux is the prosecutor.

HEARING

  1. Francois L. Cunningham – 05CR3713.  (Murder [2 Counts], Arson 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Cunningham (DOB 8/6/77) is charged in connection with the October 12, 2005 shooting deaths of Trevor Alexander and Tykea Sanderson in Fern Creek Park.  A Bond Hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 6, Division 10, at 10:15 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.
  1. Cecil Eugene New II – 07CR3969.  (Murder, Kidnapping, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 3rd Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. New (DOB 12/25/60) is charged in connection with the death of Cesar Ivan Aguilar Cano whose body was found July 7, 2007 near Fourth Street and Central Avenue  A Hearing is scheduled for Monday, April 6, Division 9, at 11:00 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.
  1. Henry J. Crawford, Jr. – 07CR0418.  (Kidnapping, Rape 1st Degree, Sodomy 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Crawford (DOB 11/6/64) is charged in connection with an October 16, 1990 robbery and sexual attack occurring on Jane Street and involving a female victim.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, Division 6, at 8:45 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.
  1. Gabriel D. Nelson – 08CR0382.  (Murder, Assault 2nd Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree [2 Counts], Reckless Driving, Speeding >26 MPH Over, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Nelson (DOB 5/10/76) is charged in connection with the January 22, 2008 crash on Taylor Boulevard which resulted in the death of Latonia Mitchell.  A Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, Division 3, at 1:00 P.M.  Chris Hutchison and Nick Neumann are the prosecutors.

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

1.      Keithen Lamont Gaines (DOB 9/28/77) / Kevin Dewayne Gaines (9/28/77) – 08CR2702 & 08CR3445.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence; KEITHEN  Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon)  The defendants are charged in connection with the September 7, 2008 shooting death of Moshawn White in the 700 block of South 24th Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 6, Division 8, at 9:00 A.M.  Frank Dahl is the prosecutor.

2.      Joe N. Gaither - 08CR2890.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Gaither (DOB 10/23/78) is charged in connection with the August 19, 2008 shooting death of Antonio Tharp in the 400 block of Wilberforce Court in the Beecher Terrace public housing complex.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 6, Division 11, at 10:00 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

3.      Jesse Gilbert – 07CR2959.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Forgery 1st Degree, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Theft by Unlawful Taking <$300, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance)  Mr. Gilbert (DOB 12/14/75) is charged in connection with the July 1, 2007 strangling death of Dennis Kellems, whose body was found July 14 at his home in the 4200 block of South Second Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 6, Division 13, at 10:15 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

4.      Kendall J. Shaw – 08CR3450.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon)  Mr. Shaw (DOB 7/10/83) is charged in connection with the November 10, 2008 shooting death of Phillip DeBerry at the Shady Villa Apartments off of Poplar Level Road.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, April 6, Division 1, at 11:00 A.M.  Felicia Nu’Man is the prosecutor.

5.      Deqontay Dunnaway (DOB 4/22/88) / Antonio Robinson (DOB 6/24/82) / Jeffrey Robinson (DOB 9/5/86) / Demetrice Thornton (DOB 4/2/89) / Michael A. Wilson (DOB 7/7/86) – 08CR3803.  (Murder [2Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence [2 Counts], Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Receiving a Stolen Firearm, Criminal Syndication)  The defendants are charged in connection with the November 28, 2008 shooting death of Eugene Staten and the December 13, 2008 shooting death of Dontay Irvin.  Both incidents happened at 43rd and Market streets.  A Pre-Trial Conferece is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, Division 7 at 8:30 A.M.  Lisa Cartier Giroux is the prosecutor.

6.      James T. Wood, Jr. (DOB 7/18/84) / Jarrell T. Wood (DOB 9/6/88) – 09CR0496.  (Murder, Kidnapping, Assault 2nd Degree, Burglary 1st Degree; JAMES: Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with a home invasion in the 1700 block of West Oak Street which resulted in the shooting death of James T. Wood, Sr.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, Division 8, at 9:15 A.M.  Frank Dahl is the prosecutor.

7.      Martin W. Hughes – 08CR0511.  (Murder [2 Counts], Abuse of Corpse [2 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Hughes (DOB 10/9/87) is charged in connection with the February 2, 2008 shooting deaths of Laura Hughes and Tessa Hughes in a home in the 4700 block of Zilma Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, Division 3, at 9:00 A.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

8.      Michael W. Priddy (DOB 1/13/85) / Joseph Reno (DOB 1/19/85) – 07CR3446.  (Rape 1st Degree, Sodomy 1st Degree [2 Counts], Kidnapping [2 Counts], Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [2 Counts])  The defendants are charged in connection with an October 13, 2007 attack on a couple following a break in of a home in the area of Fern Valley and Old Shepherdsville roads.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, Division 3, at 10:00 A.M.  Elizabeth Jones Brown is the prosecutor.

9.      John Anthony Johnson (DOB 9/17/86) / Tiwuan Johnson (DOB 5/2/85) / Cashaye Whaley (DOB 4/24/81) / Jeramie Whaley (DOB 6/26/81) / Keiandris Whaley (DOB 7/20/82) - 08CR2964.  (ALL: Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the August 28, 2008 shooting death of James Earl Allen outside the Park Hill housing complex which is in the 1700 block of Patton Court.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, Division 5, at 1:00 P.M.  Dinah Koehler is the prosecutor.

10.  James L. Gore, Jr. – 08CR2236.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor)  Mr. Gore (DOB 9/1/90) is charged in connection with the May 6, 2008 shooting death of Delshawn Banks at 31st and Young streets.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 10, Division 2, at 9:00 A.M.  Lisa Cartier Giroux is the prosecutor.
