ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Todd M. Brown (DOB 5/13/92) / Leslye M. Harbin (DOB 2/8/92) / Howard M. Williams, Jr. (DOB 12/27/90) - 08CR1045.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the February 15, 2008 shotting death of Branden Trumbo in a parking lot at 22nd Street and Broadway.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, March 31, Division 5, at 10:30 A.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Andrew Cochran (DOB 9/27/80) / Damon Talbert (DOB 8/29/83) – 07CR2782.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the August 19, 2007 shooting death of Jamar Payne in an apartment in the De Soto Terrace housing complex.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 31, Division 10, at 11:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Johnny Lee Allen (DOB 11/9/87) / James A. Clark (DOB 4/29/89) – 07CR1219.  (Murder [2 Counts], Robbery 1st Degree [2 Counts], Theft by Unlawful Taking >$300, Tampering with Physical Evidence [2 Counts])  The defendants are charged in connection with the February 2, 2007 deaths of Anthony Howze and Ashley Yennes whose bodies were found in a car in an alley off of Beecher Street.  A Hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 31, Division 2, at 11:00 A.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Robert J. Lapinsky – 07CR2585.  (Murder, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Lapinsky (DOB 3/10/72) is charged in connection with the April 25, 2003 beating death of John Lapinsky in his home off Larry Lane.  A Hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 31, Division 7, at 3:00 P.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

 

  1. David W. Ehle – 07CR1517.  (Sodomy 1st Degree, Sexual Abuse 1st Degree [2 Counts], Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor [4 Counts], Distribution of Obscene Matter to Minors)  Mr. Ehle (DOB 10/10/48) is charged in connection with the abuse of a juvenile female member of his family.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, Division 5, at 9:30 A.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Kenneth S. Kurz – 06CR3526.  (Murder, Knowing Abuse or Neglect of an Adult by a Caretaker)  Mr. Kurz (DOB 7/31/56) is charged in connection with the death of his mother, Susanna Kurz, at their home in the St. Matthews area.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, April 3, Division 5, at 10:00 A.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Joshua W. Terry – 08CR0002.  (Murder)  Mr. Terry (DOB 8/22/88) is charged in connection with the December 22, 2007 strangulation death of John Patrick Brady whose body was found in a grassy area in the Floyd Street and Broadway area.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, Division 12, at 9:00 A.M.  Lisa Cartier Giroux is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Charlotte Rose Weathers – 07CR3275.  (Manslaughter 2nd Degree)  Ms. Weathers (DOB 3/30/51) is charged in connection with a May 17, 2007 fight at a bar in the 2500 block of Bank Street which resulted in the death of David Wayne Woodson.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday April 2, Division 3, at 9:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Joseph W. Locke (DOB 3/31/89) / Robert L. Morris (DOB 10/11/85) / Kerron L. Slaughter (DOB 1/31/88) – 07CR3527.  (LOCKE: Murder, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance; ALL: Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 19, 2007 shooting death of Michael Shields whose body was found in an alley off the 400 block of Amy Avenue.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 3, Division 6, at 9:30 A.M.  Mark Baker is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Eric M. Ward (DOB 8/14/87) / Henry Lamont Gunn (DOB 5/9/84) / Steven Paulley (DOB 11/1/85) / Eric Taylor (DOB 12/19/86)– 07CR2455, 07CR2651 & 07CR2924.  (Murder, Burglary 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [9 Counts] Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [9 Counts]; Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon)  The defendants are charged in connection with the June 6, 2007 shooting death of Rocky Brown at a home in the 4000 block of Caspian Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 4, Division 8, at 8:15 A.M.  Erin White is the prosecutor.

 

5.      George R. Nix, Jr. – 07CR1521.  (Rape 2nd Degree [7 Counts], Sodomy 2nd Degree [2 Counts], Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree [3 Counts], Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 1st Degree)  Mr. Nix (DOB 3/12/28) is charged in connection with the abuse of a 12 year old female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 4, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Gabriel D. Nelson – 08CR0382.  (Murder, Assault 2nd Degree, Fleeing or Evading Police, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree [2 Counts], Reckless Driving, Speeding >26 MPH Over, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Nelson (DOB 5/10/76) is charged in connection with the January 22, 2008 crash on Taylor Boulevard which resulted in the death of Latonia Mitchell.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, April 4, Division 3, at 9:45 A.M.  Chris Hutchison and Nick Neumann are the prosecutors.

 

 

SENTENCING

 

1.      Larry D. Watts – 07CR1595.  Mr. Watts (DOB 11/21/52) was found guilty of Manslaughter 2nd Degree in connection with the April 27, 2007 shooting death of Clifton Joines at 1926 Goldsmith Lane, in the Turtle Creek apartment complex.  Sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, Division 12, at 9:00 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.
