HEARING

 

  1. Said Ali Biyad – 06CR3272.  (Murder [4 Counts], Criminal Attempted Murder, Rape 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence [3 Counts])  Mr. Biyad (DOB 1/1/64) is charged in connection with the October 6, 2006 stabbing deaths of his 4 children – Goshany, Khadija, Fatuma and Sidi Ali, ages 2 to 8 – at an apartment in Iroquois Homes.  A Competency Hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 24, Division 2, at 10:00 A.M.  Carol Cobb is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Curtis J. Stafford – 07CR2767.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Stafford (DOB 9/7/86) is charged in connection with the August 18, 2007 shooting death of Bruce Hanserd in the 1000 block of Esquire Alley.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, Division 1 at 2:00 P.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Walter Lee Colbert (DOB 9/23/73) / Lamont Roberts (DOB 4/16/63) – 06CR4034.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs; ROBERTS: Possession of Cocaine; COLBERT: Operating on a Revoked Operators License)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 21, 2006 wreck in the 2600 block of Dixie Highway which resulted in the death of Jessica McCawley.  A Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 27, Division 6, at 9:45 A.M.  Chris Hutchison is the prosecutor.

 

  1. James Ray Cable – 04CR1003.  (Murder [2 Counts], Rape 1st Degree [2 Counts])  Mr. Cable (DOB 6/27/48) is charged in connection with the 1986 death of Oma Marie Bird and the 1989 death of Helen V. Booth.  A Hearing is scheduled for Friday, March 28, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Triva Hogan – 07CR2784.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Ms. Hogan (DOB 7/31/71) is charged in connection with the August 18, 2007 stabbing death of Willie James Sweet in the 600 block of South 34th Street.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Friday, March 28, Division 6, at 11:00 A.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Beverly Ann Bryant (DOB 9/3/61) / Steven Wayne Bryant (DOB 11/10/60) – 07CR3651.  (BOTH: Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence; S. BRYANT: Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the November 3, 2007 stabbing death of Latour White near Dixie Highway and Lower Hunters Trace.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 24, Division 11, at 11:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Rocky McEntire – 07CR2733.  (Rape 1st Degree, Kidnapping)  Mr. McEntire (DOB 5/29/82) is charged in connection with the rape of an adult female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 24, Division 1, at 1:00 P.M.  Ruth Lerner is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Michael D. Stewart – 07CR0863.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants)  Mr. Stewart (DOB 7/25/83) is charged in connection with the November 17, 2006 wreck on Shelbyville Road at Beckley Station Road which resulted in the death of Andrew Wagner, who was a passenger in the car.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, Division 1, at 10:00 A.M.  Ruth Lerner is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Eddie Bewley – 07CR1888.  (Murder, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Bewley (DOB 10/5/70) is charged in connection with the May 24, 2007 stabbing death of Brandon Mays at an apartment complex off of Champions Trace and Hikes Lane in West Buechel.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Cory M. Gibson – 07CR1287.  (Murder, Sodomy 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Gibson (DOB 2/25/86) is charged in connection with the April 5, 2007 strangulation death of ZoAnn McCampbell, whose body was found in a parking lot in the area of Manslick Road and Crums Lane.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 27 Division 4, at 9:15 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

6.      James Quisenberry, Jr. (DOB 2/20/81) / Kenneth Williams (DOB 4/1/85) – 07CR2791.  (Murder, Attempted Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon)  The defendants are charged in connection with the May 18, 2006 shooting death of Earon Harper and the shooting injury of then 2 year old Erica Hughes in the 1700 block of Wilson Ave.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 28, Division 2, at 9:00 A.M.  Jon Heck is the prosecutor.

 

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Justin Brandon Lewis – 06CR3546.  (Murder)  Mr. Lewis (DOB 7/7/85) is charged in connection with the October 23, 2006 shooting death of Brittney Dunn in the 400 block of Marret Avenue.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, Division 10, at 10:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

 

SENTENCING

 

1.      Andre R. Hill – 06CR0170.  (Murder)  Mr. Hill (DOB 9/26/65) was found guilty of Manslaughter 2nd Degree in connection with the January 7, 2006 stabbing death of Roy Matlock.  The incident occurred in the 200 block of St. Joseph Street.  Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday, March 27, Division 13, at 9:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.
