 ARRAIGNMENTS

  1. Ahmad Rashad Gill – 09CR0819.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Gill (DOB 9/29/79) is charged in connection with the December 13, 2008 shooting death of Rahman Woods at a club at 32nd and Hale streets.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, March 23, Division 2, at 9:00 A.M.  Thomas Coffey is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Delion Keyona Burks – 09CR0792.  (Assault 1st Degree [4 Counts], Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Burks (DOB 6/4/81) is charged in connection with the March 9, 2009 shooting at Jim Porters Night Club resulting in the injury of 4 people.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, March 23, Division 8, at 1:00 P.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Jeffrey M. Bynum – 09CR0828.  (Murder, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Bynum (DOB 9/30/81) is charged in connection with the March 10, 2009 shooting death of James DeSpain in the 300 block of North 18th Street.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, Division 5, at 9:00 A.M.  Ruth Lerner is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Kevin D. Luther – 09CR0794.  (Theft by Unlawful Taking >$300 [95 Counts])  Mr. Luther (DOB 4/24/65) is charged in connection with the unlawful taking of funds from the Hyatt Regency Hotel between March 2007 and December 2008.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 23, Division 12, at 9:30 A.M.  Stacy Greive is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Henry A. Booker, Jr. – 08CR0121.  (Murder, Arson 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Abuse of Corpse, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  Mr. Booker (DOB 8/29/70) is charged in connection with the January 2, 2008 death of James Happel whose body was found in a burning home in the 600 block of Iowa Avenue.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Monday, March 23, Division 12, at 11:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Said Ali Biyad – 06CR3272.  (Murder [4 Counts], Criminal Attempted Murder, Rape 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence [3 Counts])  Mr. Biyad (DOB 1/1/64) is charged in connection with the October 6, 2006 stabbing deaths of his 4 children – Goshany, Khadija, Fatuma and Sidi Ali, ages 2 to 8 – at an apartment in Iroquois Homes.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, Division 2, at 3:00 P.M.  Christie Foster is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Glenda L. Graves – 09CR0006.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Ms. Graves (DOB 8/7/54) is charged in connection with the December 28, 2008 stabbing death of Norman Williams who was found in a Beecher Terrace apartment in the 400 block of South 12th Street.  A Bond Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, Division 13, at 9:30 A.M.  Michelle Rudovich is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Robert Keith Thornton – 08CR3866.  (Robbery 1st Degree [47 Counts], Violation of a Protective Order, Fleeing or Evading Police)  Mr. Thornton (DOB 5/26/65) is charged in connection with numerous robberies in Jefferson County dating back to 2001 as well as a December 23, 2008 police chase following the robbery of the Wendy’s at 4041 Taylorsville Rd.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 23, Division 4, at 8:45 A.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Robert J. Derrico – 08CR0085.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Carrico (DOB 1/28/49) is charged in connection with the January 3, 2008 death of Josephine Derrico who was found in her apartment at Rowan and 22nd streets.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 23, Division 5, at 1:15 P.M.  Erin White is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Christopher Boyd Johnson – 08CR2950.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Johnson (DOB 9/4/76) is charged in connection with the October 1, 2008 shooting death of Tony Johnson at the Louisville Manor Motel in Shively.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, Division 6, at 10:00 A.M.  Ruth Lerner is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Charles D. Patterson – 09CR0061.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Patterson (DOB 6/23/81) is charged in connection with the October 2005 stabbing death of Floyd Robey, III at his home on Kenhurst Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, at 9:45 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Joe Ely Lmurwo – 09CR0730.  (Robbery 1st Degree [8 Counts])  Mr. Lmurwo (DOB 7/31/84) is charged in connection with the armed robbery of several businesses in Jefferson County in February and March of 2009.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 27, Division 3, at 10:30 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Semonin T. Moorman – 07CR2576.  (Murder)  Ms. Moorman (DOB 9/30/81) is charged in connection with the July 28, 2007 stabbing death of Patricia Shoulders in the 4100 block of Hazelwood Avenue.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, Division 7, at 9:30 A.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

 

2.      James Quisenberry, Jr. (DOB 2/20/81) / Kenneth Williams (DOB 4/1/85) – 07CR2791.  (Murder, Attempted Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon)  The defendants are charged in connection with the May 18, 2006 shooting death of Earon Harper and the shooting injury of then 2 year old Erica Hughes in the 1700 block of Wilson Ave.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 27, Division 2, at 1:00 P.M.  Jon Heck is the prosecutor.
