ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Dominic D. Simonton – 07CR0952.  (Murder)  Mr. Simonton (DOB 7/4/77) is charged in connection with the October 6, 2006 death of Derrick Watkins which resulted from a September 18, 2006 shooting near Preston and Oak and St. Catherine.  Another victim was wounded in this same incident.  Mr. Simonton is also indicted in case 06CR3111.  Arraignment has already occurred.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, Division 5, at 1:00 P.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

HEARING

 

  1. Dale Edward Moneypenny (DOB 3/23/80) / Jennifer Lynn Smith (DOB 6/17/82) – 06CR1025.  (BOTH: Murder [2 counts], Arson 1st Degree [2 Counts], Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence; MONEYPENNY: Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the March 24, 2006 stabbing death of Charles Edward Poynter in the 100 block of Harlan Avenue and Blaine Thacker, Jr. in the 400 block of West Ormsby Avenue.  A Competency Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 22, Division 5, at 11:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Paul Andrew Wendelgast – 05CR2902.  (Murder)  Mr. Wendelgast (DOB 12/3/61) is charged in connection with the August 2, 2005 shooting death of Timothy Tilford at St. Catherine and Shelby streets.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 19, Division 10, at 10:00 A.M.  Mac Shannon is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Carey D. McNeil (DOB 8/31/86) / Jesus Francisco Solis (DOB 12/6/88) / Antonio Marco Solis-Lopez (DOB 11/14/76) – 07CR0329.  (ALL: Murder [2 Counts], Assault 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree [3 Counts], Kidnapping, Trafficking in Marijuana, Tampering with Physical Evidence; SOLIS-LOPEZ: Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the January 12, 2007 shooting deaths of Isaac Vidaurri Perez and Isaias Perez Gallegos at the Jefferson Square Apartments at 5405 Outer Loop.  A third man was also wounded in the incident.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 19, Division 1, at 11:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Damon Lee Stuckey – 05CR2507.  (Robbery 1st Degree [2 Counts], Assault 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree)  Mr. Stuckey (DOB 2/24/77) is charged in connection with a June 30, 2005 robbery at 643 Cecil Ave. which resulted in the shooting of former Central High School principal, Joe McPherson.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, Division 7, at 8:30 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Maurice O. Flippins (DOB 10/28/74) / Tamathia L. Mitchell (DOB 11/11/66) - 06CR0624 & 06CR0437.  (BOTH: Complicity to Murder, Complicity to Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence; FLIPPINS: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon [2 Counts], Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree; MITCHELL: Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the January 22, 2006 shooting death of Alphonso Miller in the 1700 block of Bonnyville Blvd.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, Division 9, at 8:30 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Francois L. Cunningham – 05CR3713.  (Murder [2 Counts], Arson 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Cunningham (DOB 8/6/77) is charged in connection with the October 12, 2005 shooting deaths of Trevor Alexander and Tykea Sanderson in Fern Creek Park.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Terribo Kohn – 06CR0742.  (Murder)  Mr. Kohn (DOB 12/3/58) is charged in connection with the February 27, 2006 beating death of Horace Transon at a boarding house in the 3700 block of West Broadway Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 23, Division 5, at 11:00 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

7.      Blaine D. Williams – 07CR0335.  (Manslaughter 2nd Degree)  Mr. Williams (DOB 9/9/90) is charged in connection with the November 19, 2006 shooting death of Brad Corcoran in the 2600 block of West Jefferson Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 23, Division 10, at 1:45 P.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

 

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Bruce O. Ewing – 03CR0313.  (Rape 3rd Degree, Sodomy 3rd Degree [2 Counts])  Mr. Ewing (DOB 7/22/47), a former priest at St. Vincent DePaul Church, is charged in connection with alleged abuse of a female victim in the early 1970’s.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 19, Division 6, at 9:30 A.M.  Carol Cobb is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Edward J. Barger (DOB 12/27/78) / Holly James (DOB 7/5/83) – 06CR0932.  (Criminal Abuse 1st Degree, Assault 4th Degree; BARGER - Assault 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with injuries sustained to Ms. James’ 22 month old daughter.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 19, Division 5, at 1:30 P.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Leroy Lester Calloway (DOB 3/18/67) / Bruce D. Hanserd (DOB 12/29/79) / Rodney L. Anderson (DOB 9/15/77) – 06CR3381.  (CALLOWAY & HANSERD: Murder, Fleeing or Evading Police, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree; HANSERD: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance; ANDERSON: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 29, 2005 shooting death of William D. Pouk in the 100 block of Kingston Drive.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Monday, March 19, Division 5, at 1:30 P.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Jamahll Antwan Todd – 06CR0107.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Todd (DOB 9/9/80) is charged in connection with the December 31, 2005 shooting death of James L. Crawford at the City View Park Apartments near 11th and Chestnut streets.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 20, Division 2, at 9:45 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

 

SENTENCING

 

1.      Gary R. Goodman – 05CR2617.  Mr. Goodman (DOB 12/22/51) was found guilty of Murder, Criminal Attempted Murder [4 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence and Resisting Arrest in connection with the August 18, 2005 shooting death of Paula Goodman in the 6400 block of Venango Drive and a subsequent standoff with police near the corner of Maryman Road and Blake Lane.  Sentencing is scheduled for Thursday, March 22, Division 11, at 9:00 A.M.  Carol Cobb is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Drashawn M. Bartlett (DOB 2/18/82) / James Robert Girton (DOB 2/16/88) – 06CR0054 & 06CR0778.  The defendants were found guilty of Manslaughter 2nd Degree, Robbery 1st Degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence in connection with the November 9, 2005 shooting death of Adolfo Jimenez in the 1500 block of Oleanda Avenue.  Sentencing is scheduled for Friday, March 23, Division 12, at 9:00 A.M.  Khalid Kahloon is the prosecutor.
