Weekly Media Release  March 10 - 16, 2008

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

1.      Lloyd Hammond – 06CR2087.  (Murder [2 Counts], Burglary 1st Degree, Kidnapping)  Mr. Hammond (DOB 10/20/85) is charged in connection with the June 3, 2006 shooting death of William Sawyers in the 2000 block of West Market Street and the June 17, 2006 shooting death of Kerry Williams in the 700 block of South 23rd Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, March 10, Division 7, at 10:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

2.      Kenneth L. Roberson – 07CR2092.  (Murder, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Roberson (DOB 6/26/61) is charged in connection with the June 8, 2007 death of Keith Mario Reed, Jr. at 24th and Madison streets.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, Division 7, at 9:30 A.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

3.      Dominic D. Simonton – 07CR0952 & 06CR3111.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Simonton (DOB 7/4/77) is charged in connection with the October 6, 2006 death of Derrick Watkins which resulted from a September 18, 2006 shooting near Preston and Oak and St. Catherine.  Another victim was wounded in this same incident.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, Division 5, at 9:30 A.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

4.      Martin W. Hughes – 08CR0511.  (Murder [2 Counts], Abuse of Corpse [2 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Hughes (DOB 10/9/87) is charged in connection with the February 2, 2008 shooting deaths of Laura Hughes and Tessa Hughes in a home in the 4700 block of Zilma Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, Division 3, at 10:30 A.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

5.      Kenyon M. Pollock – 07CR3666.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Pollock (DOB 5/8/72) is charged in connection with the November 2, 2007 shooting death of Depietro Bell, who was found near the intersection of Ellison and Julia avenues.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 14, Division 9, at 9:45 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

6.      Robert J. Derrico – 08CR0085.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Carrico (DOB 1/28/49) is charged in connection with the January 3, 2008 death of Josephine Derrico who was found in her apartment at Rowan and 22nd streets.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 14, Division 5, at 10:00 A.M.  Erin White is the prosecutor.

7.      Dante Pardue (DOB 10/21/91) / Troy Cole (DOB 2/8/88) / Amy Merrick (DOB 6/18/84) / Sharon Robinson (DOB 10/25/86) – 07CR2771.  (PARDUE: Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree; COLE: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; MERRICK & ROBINSON: Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia)  The defendants are charged in connection with a July 1, 2007 robbery in the 4500 block of Beechbrook Road in Newburg which resulted in the shooting death of Jordan Adams.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 14, Division 1, at 2:00 P.M.  Khalid Kahloon is the prosecutor.

TRIAL

1.      Claudette McCracken – 07CR1455.  (Perjury 1st Degree, Tampering with Public Records, Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree, Official Misconduct 1st Degree)  Ms. McCracken (DOB 5/2/59), a former Louisville Metro Police Officer, is charged in connection with an incident occurring in May 2006 involving the arrest of a women that worked at a laundry in the 5700 block of Preston Highway.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, March 11, Division 9, at 9:30 A.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.
