ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Adam Anthony Barker – 07CR0691.  (Murder, Criminal Attempted Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence [2 Counts], Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree)  Mr. Barker (DOB 11/13/81) is charged in connection with the October 12, 2003 shooting death of Zachary Scarpellini in the 1200 block of Cherokee Road at Longest Road.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, February 26, Division 6, at 11:00 A.M.  Mac Shannon is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

  1. Joe Garry Thompson – 05CR2544.  (Murder, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Thompson (DOB 6/18/56) is charged in connection with the August 18, 2005 stabbing death of Michael Jackson in the 2100 block of Algonquin Parkway.  A Plea Hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 26, Division 5, at 2:00 P.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Donteze E. Stephenson - 06CR3598.  (Murder, Wanton Endangerment [3 Counts])  Mr. Stephenson (DOB 1/23/83) is charged in connection with the October 25, 2006 shooting death of Darryl Head, who was shot while inside a car in the Victory Park neighborhood.  A Suppression Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, Division 13, at 10:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Demetrius L. Davis (DOB 5/30/76) / Christopher L. Davis (DOB 2/9/83) – 06CR1926.  (Criminal Attempted Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Retaliating Against a Participant in the Legal Process, Tampering with a Witness; D. DAVIS: Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 18, 2004 shooting of Sarah Cherry.  A Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, Division 9, at 11:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Robert J. Lapinsky – 06CR0414.  (Murder, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Lapinsky (DOB 3/10/72) is charged in connection with the April 25, 2003 beating death of John Lapinsky in his home off Larry Lane.  A Competency Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, Division 7, at 1:30 P.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

1.      Ricardo D. Taylor – 06CR1506.  (Criminal Attempted Murder [2 Counts], Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [4 Counts], Fleeing or Evading Police, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Taylor (DOB 11/18/87) is charged in connection with the April 19, 2006 incident involving an armed standoff with Metro Police in the Sheppard Square housing complex.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, Division 6, at 8:45 A.M.  John Balliet is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Charles Lamar Johnson – 04CR3220, 05CR0654 & 06CR0291.  (Rape 1st Degree [7 Counts], Rape 2nd Degree [2 Counts], Rape 3rd Degree, Sodomy 1st Degree [2 Counts], Incest [2 Counts], Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Johnson (DOB 9/10/63) is charged in connection with the abuse of several female victims.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, Division 8, at 9:30 A.M.  Dorislee Gilbert is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Roscoe K. Truitt – 05CR0418.  (Rape 1st Degree, Sodomy 1st Degree, Kidnapping, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  Mr. Truitt (DOB 2/27/54) is charged in connection with the September 25, 2001 abduction and rape of a female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, Division 12, at 9:30 A.M.  John Balliet is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Leroy Lester Calloway (DOB 3/18/67) / Bruce D. Hanserd (DOB 12/29/79) / Rodney L. Anderson (DOB 9/15/77) – 06CR3381.  (CALLOWAY & HANSERD: Murder, Fleeing or Evading Police, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Intimidating a Participant in the Legal Process, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree; HANSERD: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance; ANDERSON: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 29, 2005 shooting death of William D. Pouk in the 100 block of Kingston Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, Division 5, at 1:30 P.M.  Ricarda Rich is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Jeffrey E. Steitz – 07CR0277.  (Rape 2nd Degree, Sodomy 2nd Degree, Burglary 2nd Degree, Criminal Attempted Sodomy 3rd Degree, Use of a Minor in a Sexual Performance, Possession of Matter Portraying Minor in a Sexual Performance)  Mr. Steitz (DOB 6/30/64) is charged in connection with incidents involving a 12 year old female victim and another incident involving a 14 year old female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, Division 11, at 9:45 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

 

6.      James B. Skaggs – 06CR3125.  (Sodomy 3rd Degree [3 Counts])  Mr. Skaggs (DOB 12/4/46), a former teacher at West Point Independent School, is charged in connection with the abuse of a 13 year old female victim in 1977 and 1978.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 1, Division 13, at 9:00 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

 

7.      Princess Carver – 05CR1922.  (Assault 1st Degree, Criminal Abuse 1st Degree [4 Counts])  Ms. Carver (DOB 7/15/82) is charged in connection with injuries sustained to her 7 month old son.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, Division 3, at 8:30 A.M.  Carol Cobb is the prosecutor.

 

8.      Samantha M. Kidwell (DOB 2/13/84) / Robert Spence Tucker (DOB 5/7/80) – 06CR2481.  (Murder)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 1, 2003 shooting death of Joseph Lawrence in the 1600 block of Squires Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, Division 7, at 8:30 A.M.  Dinah Koehler is the prosecutor.

 

9.      Henry J. Crawford, Jr. – 07CR0418.  (Kidnapping, Rape 1st Degree, Sodomy 1st Degree, Assault 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Crawford (DOB 11/6/64) is charged in connection with an October 16, 1990 robbery and sexual attack occurring on Jane Street and involving a female victim.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, Division 6, at 9:15 A.M.  Mac Shannon is the prosecutor.

 

10.  Carla Marie Sowers (DOB 5/12/86) / Shawndric Jardon Williams (DOB 8/11/86) / Johnetta Carr (DOB 5/25/88) – 05CR3844 & 06CR1389.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 23, 2005 strangling death of Planes Adolphe outside his home in the Americana Apartments.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, Division 11, at 10:00 A.M.  Scott Davis is the prosecutor.

 

11.  Judith A. Golliher – 06CR3376.  (Theft by Unlawful Taking >$300 [8 Counts])  Ms. Golliher (DOB 8/8/52) is charged in connection with the taking of funds from accounts of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, Division 3, at 10:15 A.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

12.  George Thomas Slaughter – 07CR0272.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Slaughter (DOB 10/16/89) is charged in connection with the October 21, 2006 shooting death of Bobby Sweatt in the 5300 block of Alba Way in the Newburg neighborhood.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, March 2, Division 11, at 10:30 A.M.  Paul Richwalsky is the prosecutor.

1.      Kendall Eugene Collins – 06CR0787.  (Murder)  Mr. Collins (DOB 12/9/85) is charged in connection with the February 14, 2006 shooting death of Jeremiah Harris at the corner of 43rd and Market streets.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, Division 8, at 9:30 A.M.  Mark Baker is the prosecutor.
