ARRAIGNMENTS

 

  1. Susan Kay Lukjan – 09CR0440.  (Arson 2nd Degree, Burning Personal Property to Defraud Insurer, Fraudulent Insurance Acts >$300)  Ms. Lukjan (DOB 8/7/63) is charged in connection with the August 16, 2006 fire at Campbell’s Gourmet Cottage then located at 127 N. Sherrin Ave.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, February 23, Division 7, at 11:30 A.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

 

  1. James T. Wood, Jr. (DOB 7/18/84) / Jarrell T. Wood (DOB 9/6/88) – 09CR0496.  (Murder, Kidnapping, Assault 2nd Degree, Burglary 1st Degree; JAMES: Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with a home invasion in the 1700 block of West Oak Street which resulted in the shooting death of James T. Wood, Sr.  Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, February 23, Division 8, at 1:00 P.M.  Frank Dahl is the prosecutor.

 

 

HEARING

 

  1. Andreas Coleman – 07CR0106.  (Murder)  Mr. Coleman (DOB 6/29/83) is charged in connection with the December 18, 2006 shooting death of Antonio Thompson at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Trafalgar Square.  A Status Hearing is scheduled for Monday, February 23, Division 8, at 1:00 P.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

 

  1. James Ray Cable – 04CR1003.  (Murder [2 Counts], Rape 1st Degree [2 Counts])  Mr. Cable (DOB 6/27/48) is charged in connection with the 1986 death of Oma Marie Bird and the 1989 death of Helen V. Booth.  A Competency Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Charles D. Patterson – 09CR0061.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Patterson (DOB 6/23/81) is charged in connection with the October 2005 stabbing death of Floyd Robey, III at his home on Kenhurst Drive.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, February 23, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Robert Keith Thornton – 08CR3866.  (Robbery 1st Degree [47 Counts], Violation of a Protective Order, Fleeing or Evading Police)  Mr. Thornton (DOB 5/26/65) is charged in connection with numerous robberies in Jefferson County dating back to 2001 as well as a December 23, 2008 police chase following the robbery of the Wendy’s at 4041 Taylorsville Rd.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, February 23, Division 4, at 9:30 A.M.  Jennifer Wilcox is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Mary Ellen Tyndall – 07CR3534.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Ms. Tyndall (DOB 8/26/54) is charged in connection with the October 19, 2007 bludgeoning death of her husband, Nara Tyndall, at their home in the 1300 block of Dixie Highway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, Division 1, at 9:00 A.M.  John Balliet is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Jesse Gilbert – 07CR2959.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Forgery 1st Degree, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Theft by Unlawful Taking <$300, Illegal Possession of a Controlled Substance)  Mr. Gilbert (DOB 12/14/75) is charged in connection with the July 1, 2007 strangling death of Dennis Kellems, whose body was found July 14 at his home in the 4200 block of South Second Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, Division 13, at 9:00 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Apollo R. Avery (DOB 4/9/86) / Demetrous L. Brown (DOB 7/23/88) - 08CR1586.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Assault 4th Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [8 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the May 10, 2008 shooting death of Timothy Barbour which occurred on a TARC bus at 10th Street and Broadway.   A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, Division 3, at 9:15 A.M.  Artie McLaughlin is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Amy Arden (DOB 3/1/87) / Thomas Wayne Mercurio (DOB 9/9/83) – 08CR3810.  (Murder, Arson 1st Degree, Robbery 1st Degree, Receiving Stolen Property >$300, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 19, 2008 death of Larry Seigle whose body was found near a fire in a home in the 700 block of M Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, February 27, Division 8, at 10:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

7.      Todd M. Brown (DOB 5/13/92) / Leslye M. Harbin (DOB 2/8/92) / Howard M. Williams, Jr. (DOB 12/27/90) - 08CR1045.  (Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the February 15, 2008 shotting death of Branden Trumbo in a parking lot at 22nd Street and Broadway.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, February 27, Division 5, at 1:00 P.M.  Michelle Rudovich is the prosecutor.
