HEARING

 

  1. Marcus Edward McStoots – 05CR2759.  (Rape 1st Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. McStoots (DOB 5/13/80) is charged in connection with the rape of two female victims near the Ohio Riverwalk.  One incident occurred in October 2000 and the other occurred in April 2003.  A Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, February 15, Division 12, at 9:15 A.M.  Jonathan Heck is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Paul Andrew Wendelgast – 05CR2902.  (Murder)  Mr. Wendelgast (DOB 12/3/61) is charged in connection with the August 2, 2005 shooting death of Timothy Tilford at St. Catherine and Shelby streets.  A Hearing is scheduled for Friday, February 16, Division 10, at 2:30 P.M.  Mac Shannon is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Andreas Coleman (DOB 6/29/83) / Antonio D. Hawkins (DOB 2/22/85) – 07CR0106.  (Murder)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 18, 2006 shooting death of Antonio Thompson at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Trafalgar Square.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, Division 1, at 8:30 A.M.  Ryane Conroy is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Rocarvan Marcus Fortney – 05CR2298.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon)  Mr. Fortney (DOB 9/15/76) is charged in connection with the June 6, 2005 shooting death of Darnell Macias in the 1100 block of South 28th Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, Division 10, at 9:00 A.M.  Jason Butler is the prosecutor.

 

3.      David Carl Ola – 07CR0105.  (Murder)  Mr. Ola (DOB 3/1/66) is charged in connection with the December 30, 2006 shooting death of Russell Ola at a house on Granger Road in the Fairdale community.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, February 13, Division 5, at 10:00 A.M.  Katherine Kingren is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Walter Lee Colbert (DOB 9/23/73) / Lamont Roberts (DOB 4/16/63) – 06CR4034.  (Murder, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs; ROBERTS: Possession of Cocaine; COLBERT: Operating on a Revoked Operators License)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 21, 2006 wreck in the 2600 block of Dixie Highway which resulted in the death of Jessica McCawley.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, Division 6, at 9:00 A.M.  Rick Taylor is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Lloyd Hammond – 06CR2087.  (Murder [2 Counts], Burglary 1st Degree, Kidnapping)  Mr. Hammond (DOB 10/20/85) is charged in connection with the June 3, 2006 shooting death of William Sawyers in the 2000 block of West Market Street and the June 17, 2006 shooting death of Kerry Williams in the 700 block of South 23rd Street.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, February 15, Division 7, at 9:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Darryl Gordon Grigsby – 06CR1771.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence [2 Counts], Arson 3rd Degree, Abuse of Corpse, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Grigsby (DOB 12/13/80) is charged in connection with the May 5, 2006 shooting death and burning of Tiphanie Durham, whose body was found near a cemetery in the 7500 block of St. Anthony Church Road.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Friday, February 16, Division 5, at 1:00 P.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

 

TRIAL

 

1.      Gary R. Goodman – 05CR2617.  (Murder, Criminal Attempted Murder [4 Counts], Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [2 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest)  Mr. Goodman (DOB 12/22/51) is charged in connection with the August 18, 2005 shooting death of Paula Goodman in the 6400 block of Venango Drive and a subsequent standoff with police near the corner of Maryman Road and Blake Lane.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Monday, February 12, Division 11, at 1:00 P.M.  Carol Cobb is the prosecutor.

 

  1. John M. Barnes – 06CR1441.  (Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment [3 Counts], Tampering with Physical Evidence)  Mr. Barnes (DOB 5/22/56) is charged in connection with the March 18, 2006 shooting of a female victim at a liquor store on Crums Lane after an argument about the amount of change owed for a purchase.  A Trial is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, February 14, Division 2, at 9:45 A.M.  Ginny Ansert is the prosecutor.

 

 

 

SENTENCING

 

1.      Matthew S. Perry – 06CR1429.  Mr. Perry (DOB 11/26/84) pleaded guilty to Manslaughter, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree [2 Counts], Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Intoxicants in connection with the April 29, 2006 incident where a pedestrian, Joseph Clark, was struck and killed near the intersection of Greenwood and Terry roads.  Sentencing is scheduled for Monday, February 12, Division 1, at 11:00 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.
