HEARING

 

  1. Carla Marie Sowers (DOB 5/12/86) / Shawndric Jardon Williams (DOB 8/11/86) / Johnetta Carr (DOB 5/25/88) – 05CR3844 & 06CR1389.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence)  The defendants are charged in connection with the October 23, 2005 strangling death of Planes Adolphe outside his home in the Americana Apartments.  A Hearing is scheduled for Monday, January 8, Division 11, at 3:30 P.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Demetrius L. Davis (DOB 5/30/76) / Christopher L. Davis (DOB 2/9/83) – 06CR1926.  (Criminal Attempted Murder, Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Retaliating Against a Participant in the Legal Process, Tampering with a Witness; D. DAVIS: Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  The defendants are charged in connection with the December 18, 2004 shooting of Sarah Cherry.  A Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, Division 9, at 9:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Paul Andrew Wendelgast – 05CR2902.  (Murder)  Mr. Wendelgast (DOB 12/3/61) is charged in connection with the August 2, 2005 shooting death of Timothy Tilford at St. Catherine and Shelby streets.  A Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, January 10, Division 10, at 3:00 P.M.  Mac Shannon is the prosecutor.

 

  1. Jerry Wayne Sandlin – 06CR0062.  (Murder, Rape 1st Degree)  Mr. Sandlin (DOB 12/2/69) is charged in connection with the April 1991 rape and strangulation death of Katherine Swan whose body was found near Chestnut Street and Baxter Avenue.  A Hearing is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, Division 9, at 9:00 A.M.  David Lewis is the prosecutor.

 

 

PRE - TRIAL CONFERENCE

 

1.      Darryl Gordon Grigsby – 06CR1771.  (Murder, Robbery 1st Degree, Tampering with Physical Evidence [2 Counts], Arson 3rd Degree, Abuse of Corpse, Persistent Felony Offender 2nd Degree)  Mr. Grigsby (DOB 12/13/80) is charged in connection with the May 5, 2006 shooting death and burning of Tiphanie Durham, whose body was found near a cemetery in the 7500 block of St. Anthony Church Road.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Monday, January 8, Division 5, at 9:30 A.M.  Tom Van De Rostyne is the prosecutor.

 

2.      Donovan B. Mimms – 06CR3731.  (Murder, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor)  Mr. Mimms (DOB 9/27/89) is charged in connection with the August 24, 2006 shooting death of Charles Smith near 28th Street and Gaulbert Avenue.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, Division 3, at 10:00 A.M.  Khalid Kahloon is the prosecutor.

 

3.      Tyrus Lamont Harvey – 05CR3358. (Robbery 1st Degree [10 Counts], Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Escape 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree, Persistent Felony Offender 1st Degree)  Mr. Harvey (DOB 9/9/69) is charged in connection with the armed robbery of numerous businesses throughout Jefferson County.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, January 9, Division 10, at 11:00 A.M.  Mac Shannon is the prosecutor.

 

4.      Tremice L. Ralston – 06CR1822.  (Misuse of Computer Information [5 Counts], Unlawful Access to a Computer 1st Degree [5 Counts])  Ms Ralston (DOB 8/23/82), while employed with Citigroup, is charged in connection with the unlawful access and misuse of customers’ credit card accounts.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, January 10, Division 3, at 8:45 A.M.  Ricarda Rich is the prosecutor.

 

5.      Matthew J. Fields – 05CR3221.  (Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Kidnapping, Criminal Attempted Rape 1st Degree, Sexual Abuse 1st Degree)  Mr. Fields (DOB 2/1/87) is charged in connection with the sexual assault of a female victim and robbery after the break in of a home in the Park Ridge subdivision.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, January 10, Division 9, at 9:30 A.M.  Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.

 

6.      Ronda L. Ferrell – 06CR3650.  (Knowing Abuse or Neglect of an Adult, Assault 1st Degree)  Ms. Ferrell (DOB 11/20/62) is charged in connection with the abuse of her 19 year old daughter, who has cerebral palsy.  A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, Division 10, at 11:30 A.M.  Todd Lewis is the prosecutor.
