A defendant is presumed innocent until or unless found guilty. The enclosed court actions are subject to change.
According to the Rules of Criminal Procedure (RCr 3.02, 3.05, and 8.01), the arraignment of individuals whose case has been submitted directly to the grand jury shall take place within a reasonable time after the return of an indictment. If you are interested in a case that has been submitted directly to the grand jury, then please contact the court division in which it has been assigned to obtain the time and date of the arraignment.
Cornelius Miller – 17CR2074 (Rape in the First Degree, Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree)
- Mr. Miller (DOB 04/08/59) has been indicted for a sexual assault that occurred on July 1, 2012 in a cemetery. Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, July 31, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in Division 2 of Jefferson Circuit Court. Kristi Gray is the prosecutor.
Isaiah Hayes and Destiny Rhodes- 16CR2025 (Robbery in the First Degree [9 counts])
- Mr. Hayes (DOB 11/19/93) and Ms. Rhodes (DOB 06/05/96) are charged with committing multiple business robberies between June 26, 2016, and July 22, 2016, at Walgreens Stores throughout Jefferson County. A pretrial conference is scheduled for Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 8:45 a.m. in Division 3 of Jefferson Circuit Court. Jennifer Murzyn Yancey is the prosecutor.
Darryl Collier – 17CR1878 (Robbery in the First Degree, Robbery in the Second Degree, Sexual Abuse in the First Degree [2 Counts])
- Mr. Collier (DOB 10/07/68) is charged in connection with two robberies occurring on June 14 and 15, 2017. Both robberies occurred near the University of Louisville during early morning hours. A pretrial conference and bond hearing are scheduled for July 31, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in Division 13 of Jefferson Circuit Court. Milja Zgonjanin is the prosecutor.
Clifton Jamal Jones – 15CR3353 (Murder, Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree)
- Mr. Jones (DOB 09/25/86) is charged with the murder of Joseph Starks, Jr., on April 29, 2015 in front of 714 South 35th Street. Mr. Starks’ body was discovered dumped at 38th and Sunset Streets on Derby Day, three days after the murder. A jury trial in this case began last week and is expected to conclude Monday, July 31, 2017 in Division 10 of Jefferson Circuit Court. Elizabeth Jones Brown and Mark Baker are the prosecutors.
