INDICTMENT IN DOWNTOWN STABBING CASE

LOUISVILLE, KY — Today a Jefferson County grand jury indicted Kalief A. Cummings on two counts of Assault in the First Degree. These charges result from the August 23, 2015 incident near 2nd and Liberty Streets where he is alleged to have stabbed two sisters who were visiting Louisville from out of town. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Division Three of Jefferson Circuit Court on Monday, September 8, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Elizabeth Jones Brown is the prosecutor assigned to the case.
