According to the Rules of Criminal Procedure (RCr 3.02, 3.05, and 8.01), the arraignment of individuals whose case has been submitted directly to the grand jury shall take place within a reasonable time after the return of an indictment. If you are interested in a case that has been submitted directly to the grand jury, then please contact the court division in which it has been assigned to obtain the time and date of the arraignment.
Joseph Dunn, 15CR1783 (Murder; Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree; Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon; Tampering with Physical Evidence; Fleeing and Evading Police in the Second Degree; and Persistent Felony Offender in the First Degree)
- Mr. Dunn (DOB 6/23/85) is charged in the June 18, 2015, shooting death of Mr. Antwon Willis at the Indi’s Restaurant located at 1033 W. Broadway. Arraignment is scheduled to take place Monday, July 6, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. in Division Nine. Ms. Erin McKenzie is the prosecutor.
Na’Shawn Mills, 13CR1859 (Murder, Criminal Attempt Murder, Robbery in the First Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Tampering with Physical Evidence, and Persistent Felony Offender in the Second Degree)
- Mr. Mills (DOB 2/18/92) is charged in connection with the July 1, 2013, shooting death of Mr. Brandon Shackelford, and the attempted shooting of Mr. Dewayne Hill, Jr. Mr. Mills is alleged to have shot Mr. Shackelford in his car on the 8500 block of Beulah Church Road and fired a shot in the direction of Mr. Hill. After the shooting, Mr. Mills drove the victim’s car, along with his body, to Cox’s park where he attempted to set the car on fire in order to dispose of the evidence. A trial is scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. in Division Nine of the Jefferson Circuit Court. Ms. Elizabeth Jones Brown is the prosecutor.
Scott Quisenberry, 13CR2226/14CR1614 (Rape in the Second Degree, Rape in the Third Degree [2 counts], and Sodomy in the Second Degree [4 counts])
- Mr. Quisenberry (DOB 10/4/58) is charged with the above listed offenses due to his relationship with one of his former students from the time she was twelve years old until she was fifteen years old. A trial is scheduled for Monday, July 6, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. in Division Seven of Jefferson Circuit Court. Ms. Alicia Gomez and Mr. Mark Miller are the prosecutors.
