General Trial Division C

Ryane Conroy - Division Chief, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Conroy received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2003. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Bellarmine University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2000 and graduated from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville (Magna Cum Laude) in2003. While at Bellarmine, she was a member of the Mock Trial Team that won the National championship in 1999. She served for two years as a law clerk in the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, eventually becoming Senior Law Clerk. Ms Conroy is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. She currently serves as the Division Chief of General Trial Division C, and she also serves as the Paralegal Coordinator for the office. In addition to these duties, Ms. Conroy is the Co-Chief Trainer of prosecutors in the office, and is responsible for establishing and implementing all prosecutor training and instruction.

Leland Hulbert - Deputy Division Chief, Interim Communications Director, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Mr. Hulbert received his license to practice law in Kentucky in 2002, and joined the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in 2007. He is a 2001 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law, and he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Miami (Ohio) University with a double major of Political Science and Sociology and a minor in Criminology. He was an Assistant Jefferson County Attorney from 2002 to 2007, serving as a Prosecutor in Felony/Misdemeanor Court and as Chief Jury Trial Prosecutor in Warrant Court. Also in the past, he served as a Law Clerk for the Jefferson County Attorney's Office and for the old City Law Department. Mr. Hulbert's past experiences also include being an Office Manager for 5/3 Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has coached many youth YMCA and Catholic School Athletic Association teams and in the Summer he coaches the CAO softball team. In the past he has been in the Jefferson County Public School Mentor Program and has participated as a Judge in the Bellarmine Mock Trial Program. Mr. Hulbert is a graduate of the 2008 LBA Leadership Academy and is an LBA Leadership Fellow. Mr. Hulbert is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. In addition, he serves as one of two CAO Mentoring Managers. Mr. Hulbert has recently taken over the role as Interim Director of Communications for the office and handles requests and communications with media and outside agencies. He is currently assigned to General Trial Division C as well as the vehicular injury FAST team cases.

Stacy Greive - Economic Crime Liaison, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Greive received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1992 and became an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in October of 1992. Ms. Greive received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Bellarmine College in 1988 and her Juris Doctor from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 1991. Ms. Greive worked as a law Clerk at the law firm of Gittleman & Barber from 1989 to 1990 before coming to the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney as a Law Clerk from 1990 to 1992. Ms. Grieve is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Louisville Bar Association.

Ms. Greive also handles all out-of-state subpoena requests from prosecutors in other jurisdictions. She is currently assigned to General Trial Division C and serves as the Economic Crime Liaison and the head of the office’s Economic Crimes Unit.

Jessica Moore - Felony Mental Health Court Liaison, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Moore graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a B.A. in Journalism and English Literature. She successfully earned her J.D. from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2006 and she was licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky that same year. She joined the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in 2008. In the past, Ms. Moore has served as a Staff Attorney for Jefferson Family Court Judge Dolly Wisman Berry; as a Law Clerk for Judge Thomas B. Wine of the Kentucky Court of Appeals; as a Law Clerk for Justice William E. McAnulty of the Kentucky Supreme Court; and, as a Law Clerk for Franklin and Hance, PSC. Among her awards, she has been named a Kentucky Colonel and a Distinguished Citizen.

Ms. Moore is an active member of the Younger Women’s Club of Louisville; the Norton Future Generations Board; and, the Sacred Heart Academy Alumnae Board. Ms. Moore is a professional member of the Jefferson County Women Lawyers Association, the Louisville Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and a 2009 graduate of the LBA Leadership Academy. In addition, Ms. Moore is a graduate of Leadership Louisville's "Focus Louisville" 2011 class. Ms. Moore will be the CAO Liaison to the new Felony Mental Health Court that is being established in Judge Gibson's division of Circuit Court. She is currently assigned to General Trial Division C.

Alice Jones - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Ms. Jones received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2009 and joined the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney in October of that year. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, and her Juris Doctor from the George Mason University School of Law in 2009. Ms. Jones worked as a paralegal at the noted D.C. law firm of Williams and Connolly, LLP for several years. Her past summer internships include stints at the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in 2008; for Jefferson Circuit Judge A.C. McKay Chauvin in 2007; and, for the Special Investigations Division of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office in 2003. She is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. Ms. Jones is currently assigned to General Trial Division C.

Nick Mudd - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Mr. Mudd received his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2010, and he joined the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in January 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree Magna Cum Laude from Transylvania University in 2004 with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. He later received his Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2010. While at Transylvania, he received Honors in Mathematics and was a Holleian Society inductee. In law school, Mr. Mudd received a number of Honors including Most Outstanding Trial Advocate Award, the Garmer and Prather Scholarship for Excellence in Trial Advocacy, the Woodward Memorial Scholarship, Champion of the 2009 Kentucky Intrastate Mock Trial Tournament, and the Best Advocate Award at that same tournament. Prior to joining the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, he served as an Associate Attorney at Pillersdorf, DeRossette, and Lane.

Mr. Mudd completed legal internships at the University of Kentucky Legal Clinic, the Fayette County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, and the Federal Prison. In the past he has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Mathematics at Medtech College, was a substitute teacher in the Fayette County School System, and a Software Engineer for several Lexington companies. He is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association, the KBA Young Lawyers Section, and the American Bar Association. Mr. Mudd is assigned to General Trial Division C.

Jeffrey Cooke - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney

Mr. Cooke received his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1977 and became an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in April 2011. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Virginia in 1974, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1977. While in law school, he worked as a Law Clerk for Frank E. Haddad, Jr., one of the legendary icons of Kentucky criminal legal practice. After graduating from law school, he worked for both Frank E. Haddad, Jr. and Associates and for Morgan and Pottinger, PSC. He also served as Vice President and General Counsel for Jim Cooke Buick, Inc. From 1996 to 2010, Mr. Cooke was President of both Jim Cooke Buick, Inc. and BMW Motorcycles of Louisville. While in the automobile business, he received the Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award.

Mr. Cooke has been very active in community and volunteer activities. He has served in the past as President of the Louisville Forum. He is a graduate of the FBI Louisville Citizens’ Academy and currently serves on the FBI Louisville Citizens’ Academy Alumni Association. Mr. Cooke is a member of Louisville Bicycle Club and the Louisville BMW Riders. A 1988 graduate of Leadership Louisville, he has also served as Chair of the Louisville Metro Police Fifth District Citizens’ Advisory Board, and on the YMCA Shelter House Board of Directors. Mr. Cooke is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. He is currently assigned to General Trial Division C.
