Tom Van De Rostyne - Division Chief, Homicide Liaison, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney
Mr. Van De Rostyne received his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2000 and came to the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in January of 2001. Mr. Van De Rostyne received a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Oklahoma in 1988. He then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Equine Administration from the University of Louisville in 1997. Mr. Van De Rostyne then received his Juris Doctor from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2000. Before coming to the Commonwealth, Mr. Van De Rostyne worked as a law clerk and Associate Attorney for the City of Louisville, Department of Law from 1998 to 2001. Mr. Van De Rostyne also served as a cartographer for the Defense Mapping Agency from 1988 to 1994 and as a racing intern for Churchill Downs Racing Department from 1995 to 1997. Mr. Van De Rostyne is an active member in the Young Lawyers Section of the Louisville Bar Association. While attending the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville, Mr. Van De Rostyne served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association and was on the Dean's List from 1998 to 2000. Mr. Van De Rostyne is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association and Louisville Bar Association. He currently serves as the Homicide Liaison and is in charge of the Capital Case Unit. Mr. Van De Rostyne is Division Chief of General Trial Division B.
Nick Neumann - Deputy Division Chief, Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney, Robbery Liaison
Mr. Neumann received his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2006. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin in 2000, and graduated from the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2006. He served for two and a half years as a Law Clerk in the Narcotics Unit of the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, eventually becoming Senior Law Clerk. Mr. Neumann attended law school on an Alumni Scholarship and was Treasurer of the Student Bar Association. He is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association, and is currently Deputy Division Chief of General Trial Division B in addition to being the Robbery Liaison.
Felicia Nu'Man - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney
Ms. Nu'Man is a 2000 graduate of Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia . She received her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies: Science, Technology and Society from the University of Louisville in 1996. She worked as an Intern for the DeKalb County Public Defender's Office where she practiced under the Third Year Practice Act of Georgia. Ms Nu'Man worked in the area of employment discrimination at a private firm here in Louisville before joining the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in July, 2005. Ms. Nu'Man co-hosts a popular radio show on WGZB (96.5) called "From the Corner to the Courthouse," and her "My Turn" column was featured in the April 14, 2008 edition of Newsweek Magazine. She is a professional member of the Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association. She is currently assigned to General Trial Division B.
Angela Johnson - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney
Ms. Johnson received her license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2005, and joined the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in April 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts in both English and Political Science from the University of Kentucky in 2001, and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2004. A graduate of the Law Magnet Program at Louisville's Central High School, Ms. Johnson served in the past as a Law Clerk for Judge William E. McAnulty, Jr., of the Court of Appeals. While in law school, she was a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) Competition Team. She also had a prior internship with the Fayette Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. Ms. Johnson worked as an Assistant Public Advocate in the Appeals Branch of the Department of Public Advocacy from 2005 to 2007. She is a professional member of the Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association. She is currently assigned to General Trial Division B.
Imran "Ron" Aslam - Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney
Mr. Aslam received his license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2006, and he joined the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney in October 2008. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and International Studies from Denison (OH) University in 2002, and his J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2006. While in law school, he worked as a Deputy Clerk in Jefferson Family Court, and he also clerked for the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights. Upon graduation, he took a position as an attorney for the Department for Public Advocacy in the Cynthiana office, where he represented indigent clients in all phases of District and Circuit Court cases in five counties in central Kentucky. Mr. Aslam is a professional member of the Kentucky Bar Association. He is the office liasion to Jefferson County Drug Court and is currently assigned to General Trial Division C.
